My response was to take photos which feature similar subjects to the works of Andy Small that I analysed. I took photos in both natural lighting and with flash to compare the outcomes. I found out that using flash on the photos created a much more vibrant tone similar to the tones used in his work. To take these photos, I placed the subject on a piece of orange card (the photos I'd taken at school have a blue background) and took photos of different fruits and vegetables from an angle directly above them as this is the angle that all of the photos I analysed were taken from. When editing, I would replace the images with much more colourful backgrounds that are contrasting to the colour of the subject as this is what he does with his work.

These are the results I got from editing the photos in Photoshop, all backgrounds with the exception of the underwater one were taken from the internet.
